Introduction

The Ghost may be the first true High Performance board that works great for surfers of every level. Take it on any surf trip with decent to good waves, and it covers you as a one-board quiver.

It’s become one of JJF’s favorites for all kinds of surf, a Margaret River win, a Bells Ollie Oop, J-Bay carves, even head-high Trestles. Surfers around the world reach for it as their go-to board.

We originally designed the Ghost for hollower, more powerful waves. But it’s proven itself at reef breaks and dumpy beachies too, and it excels at point waves as well.

The Ghost builds on our Short Cut outline, refined further. The wide point still sits a bit forward of center. But we keep the nose area down and pull the tail in slightly, so it fits into a tighter curve.

We’ve also pushed the thickness forward. That helps you catch waves more easily. We kept the tail and rails thinned out too, so you hold through barrels and turns at speed.

The rocker runs med/low through the front half, so you catch waves easily and pick up speed fast. The rear end carries plenty of rocker curve for turning control and a snappy response.

A single concave runs through the entire bottom, with a double concave set inside. Together they add speed and lift, both on a rail and over flat spots, while letting you move quickly from rail to rail.

This combination of rocker and concave gives the Ghost high-performance handling, with a healthy mix of sensitivity and control.

Depending on how you want to ride it, we recommend ordering your Ghost anywhere from your height to 8″ over, 1/4″ to 1/2″ wider, and 1/8″ to 3/8″ thicker than your everyday shortboard.
