Introduction

The Atomic suits very good surfers and pros. It’s 100% competition oriented. Yet it stays clean at high speeds and on very hollow faces. It’s the ideal board for solid barrels. The hull is the key point. Beyond its pinched outline sits a concave under the rear foot that runs to the tail. This shapes the board’s character. You’ll get plenty of grip and drive. This isn’t a board for throwing spray in 50cm surf. It’s a board to carve and to get barreled! The square tail stretches the outline to its furthest point. It still keeps great reactivity, despite holding hard through turns. You get immediate projection off the first impulsion. That lets you drop under the lip with confidence. It also helps you hold speed through the sections. The rails run thin. But the volume sits slightly forward, so you still get excellent paddling with a thinned-out tail.
